Rules

**Liberty County RP (LCRP) Rules**

To ensure an enjoyable and immersive roleplay experience for everyone, we ask all members to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or removal from the community, depending on the severity.

---

### **1. General Rules**
- **Respect Others:** Treat all members with respect, both in and out of character. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or toxic behavior will not be tolerated.
- **Age Requirement:** All participants must be at least 18 years old.
- **No Meta-Gaming:** Do not use out-of-character knowledge to influence in-character actions.
- **No Power-Gaming:** Avoid forcing actions or outcomes on other players without their consent.
- **No God-Mode:** Your character is not invincible. Injuries and consequences must be roleplayed realistically.
- **Stay In-Character:** Keep in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC) separate. Use designated channels for OOC discussions.

---

### **2. Roleplay Standards**
- **Realism:** Keep roleplay grounded in reality. Unrealistic behavior (e.g., randomly starting fights or acting invincible) is prohibited.
- **Character Development:** Your character should have realistic motivations and actions. Build their story over time.
- **Crime Roleplay:** Criminal activity must be well-planned and realistic. Random, senseless acts of violence or chaos are not allowed.
- **Emergency Response Roleplay:** Follow department protocols and act professionally while in first responder roles.
- **Civilians:** As a civilian, engage in meaningful roleplay and avoid using your role solely to provoke others or disrupt scenarios.

---

### **3. Server Conduct**
- **No Spamming or Advertising:** Avoid excessive messaging or promoting other servers or communities.
- **Use Proper Channels:** Follow the appropriate channels for discussions, complaints, or support requests.
- **Follow Staff Instructions:** Listen to the staff team and comply with their directions.

---

### **4. Roleplay Etiquette**
- **Consent:** Major actions (e.g., killing another player’s character) require mutual agreement.
- **No Retaliation OOC:** If you disagree with how a scenario unfolded, resolve it through proper channels, not by retaliating in-character.
- **Use of NOVA/Character Database:** Ensure your characters are accurately logged in the NOVA database and adhere to their established backstory.

---

### **5. Departments & First Responder Rules**
- **Training Required:** All first responder roles require training. New members must complete onboarding for their chosen department.
- **Chain of Command:** Respect and follow the chain of command in all department roles.
- **Department Equipment:** Use department tools, vehicles, and weapons responsibly. Misuse may lead to removal from the department.

---

### **6. Vehicle & Weapon Rules**
- **Realistic Use:** Operate vehicles and weapons in a realistic manner. Reckless driving or random weapon use will not be tolerated.
- **No Excessive Modifications:** Vehicles must adhere to realistic standards. Overly modified or non-roleplay vehicles are not allowed.

---

### **7. Conflict Resolution**
- **Staff Support:** If a conflict arises, bring it to staff in the #help channel instead of escalating it IC or OOC.
- **Appeals:** If you feel a decision was unfair, you may file an appeal with the staff team through a ticket.

---

### **8. Zero Tolerance Policies**
- **Cheating/Exploiting:** Using cheats, exploits, or mods that provide unfair advantages will result in an immediate ban.
- **Hate Speech/Bigotry:** Any form of racism, sexism, homophobia, or other discriminatory behavior is strictly prohibited.
